Asset management app for electricity grid operators
Challenge
The customer makes a data-driven asset management system for electricity grid network operators. In the era of total mobility, they decided to expand their business presence with iOS, Android and Web applications to structure maintenance, inspections and documentation in an easy-to-use manner.
Our team is working with Scrum as the primary methodology for the project.
We started with gathering and preparing requirements and product specifications.
During the design phase, the actual concept was created, explaining how software architecture complimented project requirements and UI/UX design.
Before moving on with delivery, an MVP version was developed to see the product with enough features and get feedback.

Detailed asset info
Electricians are able to inspect every asset in the grid.
Ability to view and edit information about assets.
Asset functionality
Mobile app allows to perform multiple tasks:
- Maintenance
- Inspections
- Repairs and replacements
The app provides instructions and data manuals for the asset
Time logging
Electricians are able to log their work on generic tasks, and on a specific asset.
Work-logs are synchronised with customer’s accounting system.
Map
Asset map allows to navigate through assets in the area, and to plan maintenance schedule based on location.
Form builder
Admin is able to create Inspections, Maintenance and Replacement forms directly from the web app.
Forms can be asset specific, relate to asset category or a specific subcomponent
